Marc Jacobs waves goodbye to Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs waves goodbye to Louis Vuitton

Say it isn’t so… We have just witnessed Marc Jacobs last show for Louis Vuitton this morning at Paris Fashion Week, in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre…Yes you heard correctly. Marc Jacobs confirmed that he is ending his 16 year run as creative director for LV, meaning that the SS14 collection will be his last. Why? To concentrate on making Marc Jacobs public, which could happen in the next three years. YAY!

Creative Inspiration

I am forever inspired by the work of others as well as the natural beauty that surrounds us. Rather than making a separate post for each of my inspirations today, I would rather make one post to share them with you and I hope that some of you can be inspired and get your creative juices flowing too!

The world in my coffee cup!

The world in my coffee cup!

Saturday morning cup of inspiration. I love coffee, in fact it is a requirement in the mornings otherwise I would not be able to leave my bed at a reasonable or responsible hour- my best is when it is brought to me in bed, however I am yet to have the whole galaxy in my tea/coffee cup but it is most certainly all the creative inspiration I need this morning. Have a beautiful Saturday blog followers, I will catch up with you all soon!

Futuristic or Frightening?

I love the futuristic trend, fashion is constantly drawing inspiration from the past, so why not draw from the future? and since we are unable to predict what exactly the future holds, only opens more doorways in terms of creativity. Although I must say most of the pieces could not translate into street wear, but they make for incredible editorials and runway shows

The metallic trend is in for S/S’13, maybe I’ll draw my metallic inspiration from futurism. Hello silver pants, I’m coming for you!

Threaded Photographs

Threaded Photographs

Threaded Photographs by Maria Aparicio who is a Chilean artist whose focus is on mixed media, she beautifully hand-stitches over images taken by photographers in order to hybrid pieces. The difference of texture and the colour bursts from the thread create interesting and original works of art

The Mind.

What would my blog be without some ethereal inspiration? I find these images to be inspiring, creative and possess an air of mystery. What moves you?
