MAIYET

MAIYET

I love the clean, sleek lines of this outfit from the Maiyet collection, and white is very much a seasonal colour that has been gracing the runways this year, there is something timeless and feminine about the colour, and it’s always great to detox your wardrobe with a refreshing, neutral colour.

The Metallic Trend

I am loving the metallic trend that has been seen in the SS’13 collections, there is something alluring and mystical about the lustrous foils. Whilst the metallic trend may be a hard trend to nail without looking like a space creature, it is fast becoming one of my favourite sources of inspiration.

I love the futuristic trend, fashion is constantly drawing inspiration from the past, so why not draw from the future? and since we are unable to predict what exactly the future holds, only opens more doorways in terms of creativity. Although I must say most of the pieces could not translate into street wear, but they make for incredible editorials and runway shows

The metallic trend is in for S/S’13, maybe I’ll draw my metallic inspiration from futurism. Hello silver pants, I’m coming for you!

Floral Trend

Floral Trend

Given that I don’t exactly imagine myself wearing this, I am strangely intrigued by it. The floral trend seems to be one of those trends that you either love or hate, but it is definitely not going anywhere anytime soon, constantly being revived and reappearing each year for the S/S shows, as the flowers in nature bloom, so to do the runway shows.
